Smurna is my sole creative endeavor and serves as the channel for all of my projects whether it it be photography , furniture, or clothing.
Sacrum Jacket
The Sacrum jacket is a sustainable take on the classic biker jacket. Constructed from three pairs of black jeans the jacket preserves the details from the jeans and employs them in various ways on the garment.
Brax Capsule
The Brax Capsule is centered around a cut and paste design approach. Through layering different designs over each other I tried to create embroidery collages. All garments in the capsule were provided by good friends at Drugstore Vintage.
Arach Weave
This woven sweatshirt was my first produced garment. I originally wanted to make a knit sweater but for the graphic I could only preserve the detail by going with a weave. The garment is also reversible.
Communion Capsule
The Communion Capsule, created for Smurna AW 2021 plays on corporate logos like Dow and Purdue and seeks to draw a satirical line across jesus, drugs, and corporate marketing.
Yodo Capsule
The Yodo Capsule was my first collection of reworked garments with a focus on embroidery released in the fall of 2019. the design was hand drawn using a national geographic collage I had made. The capsule title is in reference to the collage.
